Speak honestly in a way that moves the action forward. Say what we mean, and be willing to ask questions, share ideas, or raise issues that may cause conflict when it’s necessary for team success. Address issues directly with those who are involved or affected.

Missing just one detail can have an enormous impact on a deal. Be a fanatic about accuracy and precision. The goal is to get things right, not simply to get them done. Double check your work. Get the details right the first time.

Learn the standards and procedures that support our ability to perform with consistency. Utilize checklists to ensure that our work is through and complete. Strong processes are the foundation of organizational success.

What got us here is not the same as what will get us to the next level. Get outside our comfort zone, rather than stubbornly hanging on to old ways of doing things. Be open to new approaches, including trying on new perspectives or points of view.

The quality of the answers you get is directly related to the quality of your questions. Be curious, ask thoughtful questions, and listen intently to the answers. Be more interested in asking and listening than in speaking. Every day is an opportunity to learn more and to up our game.
